Kia Ora e te whÄnau. I am Hannah Bockhop and am delighted to be one of the Kaiako here at Wonder Kids. I am a qualified early childhood teacher and I am currently in the process of becoming fully registered. I spent 2023 teaching in a local primary school and although I enjoyed the challenge and being in the primary sector, I knew I wanted to be back teaching in the early childhood sector. I am excited to be a part of the Wonder Kids whÄnau and look forward to meeting everyone as we embark on this journey.
A little bit about myself, I was born and raised in Masterton and absolutely love the lifestyle. I attended Lansdowne Kindergarten, Opaki Primary School and finished my school years at Wairarapa College. I studied through Open Polytech to complete my bachelors, which allowed me to carry on volunteering at the Learn n Live Children’s camps out at Riversdale, which I absolutely loved. Early this year I got married to my husband, and we live in our own home together in the Solway area. In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach, going on road trips, or simply catching up with friends and family over a good coffee and food. One thing I love about working in the Early Childhood sector is that all tamariki bring something different with them, and watching them become confident and competent learners through exploring and play.
