We are a small, family-focused centre located on the Kapiti Coast, perfectly situated near workplaces and main transport links. Our spacious backyard features large trees that provide excellent summer shade and attract beautiful native manu like Tui, Kereru, and Piwakawaka. It’s also a fantastic spot for picnics with tamariki.
We are licensed for up to 30 tamariki aged two and older, and our open-plan, family-style layout allows siblings to stay together—something many of our families appreciate.
We love engaging with our community and frequently visit the local library and Kapiti School on excursions. Our Letter of the Week programme emphasises letter sounds through fun, interactive activities related to each week’s letter. This approach fosters early literacy in an enjoyable way.
At our centre, social and emotional coaching is a top priority. We understand the importance of recognizing and managing our feelings, and we teach tamariki how to work positively with others, helping them develop skills for negotiating, cooperating, and navigating their emotions.
Our core values are rooted in respecting and celebrating the unique qualities of each child. This includes understanding their cultural and family backgrounds, what they enjoy, and building on these interests. We honour Te Tiriti and embrace the values of manaakitanga and whanaungatanga in all we do.
Our dedicated team of four Kaiako are passionate about providing fun and creative learning experiences. We incorporate New Zealand Sign Language into our weekly activities, aligning with our "Letter of the Week" program to enhance learning.
We celebrate Matariki with a shared dinner mid-year and host an exciting Children’s Christmas party in December, featuring face painting, a bouncy castle, and a BBQ.
