Fakaa'lofa Lahi Atua, my name is Whaea Rose and have 3 children (22, 15 and 12) who are of Te Ātiawa and Niuean heritage. I come from a playgroup, kindergarten and childcare background. I have passionately worked in ECE/with children for 20+ years and in 2007, achieved my Bachelor of Teaching (ECE). Having lived and breathed Tamaki Makaurau for most of my life, I have now made Whakaahurangi my home for the last 2 years. My passion and beliefs for working with tamariki and what underpins my practice is "it takes a village to raise a child" and being a part of that village is important in supporting them in becoming who they are.
