Kitty

Qualified Teacher

My name is Kitty, and I have gained my Graduate Diploma in Teaching early childhood in 2019 through Te Rito Maioha/ early Childhood New Zealand.

I am Dutch and have a background in Nursing but after becoming a mum, I discovered that my real passion is in early childhood.

My passion is seeing every child succeed and thrive in learning through play, as every day is a new day of discovery and wonder and excitement. I feel privileged to be part of this journey and am looking forward to getting to know and working together with the tamariki, their whānau and of course my colleagues here at Wonder Kids.

My super strengths are dramatic play, social and emotional wellbeing and being flexible to follow the child’s lead and interest from a holistic perspective. My favorite play activities are sensory, messy play, playdough, dancing, singing and storytelling. I love doing Zumba, improvisation theatre and occasional reading and gardening.
